Here are others that my memory cannot recall as vivdly, that I will smell again to see if indeed my guesses are right: Those 4 I am certain share distinct aromachemcials with Aventus' top and heart notes, none of the more sophisticated/dry basenotes. Montale Bois Fruite/CK One/SMW (piercing metallic/citric/fruity notes) Jovan BodyTonic aftershave balm (aqua blue or light green bottle) If they'd bring back Feuille Verte and give it some longevity and projection, I think I'd just have to shout for glory!Ĭlick to expand. It doesn't have as close a lesser/peer as those two, and from memory, the ones that seem to ring closest scntwise I think were aromachemicals/note/accords of each of these:Ĭoty Avatar (shares fruity/pineapple/piercing/metallic notes)Ĭerruti Image or Fresh Energy os 1881 summer (one of the modern cerruti) (fruity/pineapple/aloe/fresh notes) However, I do find some of their anemic compositions disturbing considering the prices. Actually, I find Creed very wearable and will always be a follower/owner of their products. So, I love Creed for what they are, I love CDG for what they are, and I love.etc etc. Their imagination has pioneered such fragrances like no other and earned them the unique distinction worthy of the term "niche". CDG is known for wood and incense and no one in my opinion does it better. While I love Creed dearly, there are other houses that are known for specific genres as well. Creed produces very enjoyable, natural smelling goodies that has earned the company a stellar track record in terms of quality and being a leading pioneer. It will probably take a couple weeks to get one in, so until then, I'll just say that as with most houses, there are hits and misses. Now, I must obtain a sample and lay the hype surrounding this topic to rest.

I'm surprised to see this thread still going. (though I'm equally sure that if not, they'll DEFINITELY proclaim the death of the Creed house. I'll bet anything that those who are disappointed with Aventus will go nuts over Woods & Spice. I bet everyone loves 3 of those frags, and hates the other 3. In this decade, Creed has put out Tabarome Millesime, Himalaya, OV, OS, Virgin Island Water, and Windsor (amongst others). I worry for the future of this house." hhahaha. I bet a lot of the people who recite this line today would have done the same in 1973 when they released Acier Aluminium. I also wonder why, when Creed releases a new scent, if someone doesn't like it, they agonize that "they are worried for the future of this house."Ĭreed has always been hit or miss, going back decades. Will it get the respect from die-hard fragrancistas that a delicately composed Windsor, MI, or BdG get? No. So they tried their hand at the genre, NOT at some other company's specific product, and absolutely nailed it. not one that tries to highlight a certain note - like OV, Neroli Sauvage, Green Valley, SV, etc.). I think Creed absolutely recognized the fact that they lack a modern, EDT, young, sexy "character" fragrance (i.e.
